Biography

Matthew S. Brown (Matt) is an attorney at the Merlin Law Group and specializes in first-party property litigation, representing commercial and residential clients through the completion of their cases.

Mr. Brown practice as an Insurance Defense Attorney for several years. He owned and operated his own Defense firm and litigated cases in Florida and Georgia. Matt eventually found his calling to represent the insured and did so at a boutique first-party property litigation firm in Jacksonville, Florida. He now brings his experience to our firm and is ready to fight for your interests.

He and his wife live in the Ponte Vedra Beach area with their two daughters. When he’s not working, Matt is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys boating, fishing, and hunting with his family.

Matt graduated from Georgia State University (Summa Cum Laude) in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence at West Virginia University, College of Law.

Mr. Brown is licensed in Florida, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
