Lucas Austin, Esq.

Biography

Prior to joining Merlin Law Group, Lucas Austin spent almost ten years working for a state-wide property insurance defense firm.  During this time, Lucas gained valuable experience representing insurers throughout the State of Florida in a wide variety of litigation and coverage matters involving both commercial and residential properties.  This experience has provided Lucas with a unique perspective which has repeatedly proven to be a valuable asset for his clients.

Lucas currently concentrates his practice of law on representing first party property policyholders engaged in disputes with their insurance companies, with a particular focus on claims made by commercial property owners and condominium associations. Lucas has extensive experience with all types of property losses, including windstorm, hail, fire, and sinkhole, and has tried multiple cases to verdict.

Lucas has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2008 after receiving both his undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Florida.
