Biography
Iris Kuhn is an attorney with the firm’s Tampa office. Her practice focuses primarily on representing insureds in first party property insurance coverage disputes and unfair claims settlement practices litigation.
Ms. Kuhn represents matters in both state and federal court, involving a wide variety of insurance-related matters, including cases involving claims for professional malpractice, breach of contract, bad faith, and agent and broker’s errors and omissions.
During law school, Ms. Kuhn spent several years working as Chip Merlin’s paralegal assisting homeowners and businesses with property damage claims in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, through litigation and trial. Ms. Kuhn also managed commercial coverage litigation issues, which included complex discovery and claim file investigations.
Ms. Kuhn is a graduate of Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she earned a Juris Doctor in 2017. In law school, Ms. Kuhn obtained the highest grade in Trial Skills class and was awarded for distinction in trial advocacy. Ms. Kuhn also received her Bachelor of Science degree from City University of New York, John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2010.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kuhn’s legal experience concentrated in Family and Real Estate law related matters.
