Biography
Doug Grose is a litigator with Merlin Law Group and has extensive experience in representation of insureds in numerous states from Florida to California.
Mr. Grose is a graduate of the University of South Florida and received his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee, Florida. Doug has been admitted to all state and federal courts in Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, United States Supreme Court, and has been admitted pro hac vice in the states of Alabama, California, Illinois, North Carolina, Tennessee, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Mr. Grose’s representation has included pre-suit client assistance as well as extensive state court and federal court litigation experience for a range of clients—from individual homeowners to large commercial and condominium related matters. He is active in the American Association for Justice (formerly ATLA), the Florida Justice Association (formerly Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers), and in the nationwide Bad Faith Litigation Group of the AAJ.
His extent of involvement in fire-related insurance claims has led him to active involvement in the National Fire Protection Association, National Association of Fire Investigators, and the International Association of Fire Investigators. Mr. Grose has been honored to speak regarding various subjects to the AAJ, FJA, Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters, the Windstorm Network, and the Insurance Committee for Arson Control.
